Who can enroll to ABC Adult School?
Persons 18 years of age or older that can benefit from instruction are eligible to enroll in ABC Adult School. Preference is given to continuing students and residents of the district providing they register during the priority pre-registration period as published in this brochure. High school students may attend if space is available and all Educational Code requirements are met.

Do I have to come to the very first class meeting?
Yes. You must be present at the first meeting of the class or you may be dropped and lose your space to others who are present and wish to enter. Refund will not be given.

What's your absence policy?
Any students who have more than three consecutive absences may be dropped. Students who miss the first day of class may be dropped.

I registered for a class, but then I changed my mind about it…
- Choose your classes carefully! Students who drop a class during the pre-registration period will be charged an $10 processing fee, or they may request a voucher for the full amount of the class (good for one year).
- Students wishing to drop a class during the first class meeting must immediately return to the office to request a voucher. (No cash refunds.) No vouchers given after the first class meeting.
- There is a $5 fee for class changes. No exceptions. No fee for adding a class. No refunds after the first class meeting.

What's your Return Book Policy?
Books are purchased through Amazon.com or outside vendors and not through ABC Adult School. Please see the vendor website where you purchased your book for book return policies.

Do you have financial aid?
CCAE (California Council for Adult Education) ABC Adult School Chapter offers scholarship for qualified students. Please contact the Cuesta office for application form. Please allow 3-4 weeks to process.

Can a class be cancelled?
ABC Adult School reserves the right to cancel any class in which the enrollment and attendance is not sufficient to warrant continuation, and to change class hours and/or days as necessity demands.

Tell me about parking. Is it free?
Yes, parking at ABC Adult School is free, however, we do have a few simple rules for the safety and convenience of our students and staff:
- Please obey signs, directional arrows and NO PARKING areas including fire lane markings.
- Parking spaces marked STAFF are for employees only. No students or visitors are to park in these spaces. It is imperative that teachers and staff are able to park and get to their assigned classes on time.
- Visitor parking spaces are available near the Adult School office for 20 minute parking. Other parking is available on the street or in the marked lots adjacent to and across from Cuesta Drive.
- Observe the 5 miles per hour speed limit. Bicycles must be locked in bike racks and are not permitted in buildings. Do not ride bicycles on campus.
- Head in parking only.
- Parking code violations can result in ticketing and/or towing of your vehicle.

Do you take class photos for Publicity or News Release?
As a student in the ABC Adult School, you may be photographed or filmed for publicity and public relation purposes. When you register online or provide your signature on the registration form, you indicate your agreement for these purposes. If you feel otherwise, please submit a letter to the Adult School administration.
