DECORATIVE PAINTING
Learn the many styles of decorative painting while working on various surfaces such as wood, metal, glass, and fabric. Projects range from beginner to intermediate level and are achieved through blending and stroke work. Step by step instruction is given.

FOUNDATION DRAWING
Explore drawing with Lio Cheng Liu, MFA. Basic approach, concepts, and skills will be taught. Students will create wonderful works of art from pencils, pen and ink, colored pencils, oil pastels, and soft pastels. (English/Chinese)

PORTRAIT PAINTING
Instruction in drawing and painting of portraits and human figures in oil. Explore styles and techniques from the “Old Masters” to the contemporary artists. Beginning to advanced. Prerequisite: Semester of Oil Painting. (English/Spanish)

OIL PAINTING WITH LIO
Explore oil painting with Lio Cheng Liu, MFA. Basic approach, concepts, and techniques will be taught, including basic drawing skills for composition. Students will have the opportunity to do still life, landscapes, and portrait paintings. (English/Chinese)

OIL PAINTING BY MIRTA
Discover and develop creative artistic skills. Includes basic skills of drawing perspective and composition. Projects include: landscape, seascape, still life, floral and street scenes in a variety of styles and techniques. Beginning to advanced. (English/Spanish)

OIL PAINTING BY CARMEN
Paint beautiful pieces of art while learning the concepts of value, color and linear perspective (distance, atmosphere), as well as techniques with brush and palette knife to describe soft, hard reflective (glass, water, metal, etc.) surfaces and textures. Themes will be selected from still life, floral, landscape, cityscape, seascape, figure and animal genre.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING
Come explore the joy of Watercolor Painting. Basic techniques, glazing, wet-into-wet, drawing and composition. Creative techniques using water media in exciting ways will be introduced.
