Learn, understand and grow with your child!
The Parent Education Program is based on the premise that learning is a natural on-going process. Classes are designed to enable parents to observe and participate with their child in a learning environment that stimulates the physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth of the child. The readiness program includes pre-reading, math concepts, science, music and motor skill development.

Registration*
When registering online - Please register the parent, not the child information. Due to limited enrollment, registration is on a first come first served basis. Online registration begins July 22, 2010. On site registration will start on September 2 at the Cabrillo Lane Education Center or at the Cuesta Adult School. *Choose your classes carefully! There will be a charge of $5 to transfer or $10 processing fee to drop before the first day of class. No refunds will be given after the first class meeting.

Requirements for Registration
Children must meet the age requirement of the class. Older or younger children are only allowed in Sibling classes.

Immunization
Proof of current immunization is required before a child may attend a Parent Education class. These are the immunizations required for school enrollment: DPT or DT, MMR, Hepatitis B, Hib and Varicella. Parent and child must have a current tuberculosis clearance.

Registration Fee (Includes Material Fee)
3 - hour class $25 + $5 material fee = $30 per trimester
4 - hour class $35 + $10 material fee = $45 per trimester
6 - hour class $50 + $10 material fee = $60 per trimester
9 - hour class $75 + $15 material fee = $90 per trimester
NOTE: $5 - $15 material fee is per child. Additional fee for an extra child in the sibling class will be collected in class on the first day. Every adult must pay to be a student in the class. There are no family discounts.

Policy
If you miss the first week of class (without calling) you will be dropped from the class.
No refunds will be given after the first class meeting.

PARENTING THE PRESCHOOLER

BUILDING YOUR CHILD'S COMMUNICATION
A class for children with communication delays, 18-36 months, and their parents residing in ABCUSD. Taught by a speech language pathologist. Enrollment and payment will be done in the classroom. For more information call (562) 229-7762. Fee: $10 for every 1½ hour class attended.
